In the field of diagnostics, as well as in the field of therapy, conventional therapeutic measures are often limited. Depending on the area of application, lasers can represent a real extension of these therapeutic options. The students will get a good insight and overview of the most common laser systems, as well as new techniques and treatment protocols and will be able to implement them on the patient afterwards.

Laser dentistry offers many innovative approaches, also in periodontology. This module will strengthen the Master’s course, since in the field of periodontology this area can only be taught properly by a few specialized lecturers. This should also be seen as a positive differentiation from other M.Sc. courses and trains our students to become well-trained users / experts in this field.
